Park Place understands there is a lot of anxiety and anticipation surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We want to assure you that we are carefully monitoring our situation daily and making all necessary decisions to ensure that those we serve can feel safe and comfortable at our facilities. At this time, all of our offices and programs are open and operating as usual.
You will see some changes in our routines, which may include more frequent disinfecting of counter tops, doors and other high traffic or high touch areas. We are screening our employees, clients and visitors with questionnaires and taking vital measurements to reduce the spread of infection. Fist bumps, elbow bumps, or hand waves rather than handshakes or hugs are preferred. We are practicing with high caution and are following the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Department of Health recommendations.
The CDC recommends that each of us do our part which includes:
- Stay home if you are feeling ill. If you do not feel well, please call 407-846-0023 to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
- If you are interested in Telehealth Services consider participating in our telehealth program where you can be seen on line rather than face to face. If you are interested call 407-846-0023 and they will direct you to someone who can assist with setting this up for you.
- TURN OFF THE NEWS. News shows often only focus on the things that are sensational around Corona Virus (COVID-1) which can create feelings of panic and anxiety. You are allowed to shut off the television, news, and even social media to avoid being bombarded by information that may or may not be accurate. You can let your friends and family know that you need a break for a bit from discussing Corona Virus.
- If you are feeling overwhelmed call us. Don’t be afraid to reach out to your therapist, case manager, APRN or Psychiatrist, or the agency in general. We understand that things can get overwhelming at times and can help you develop a plan for coping.
